    Pieced with care from a mix of men\u2019s dress shirts, plain muslin, and delicate prints the color of springtime, the maker who started <\/span>Lily<\/span><\/i> got creative with her resources. In some blocks, there\u2019s piecing within the piecing to make the material stretch. Wide, grass-green sashing creates a flower bed for 16 pretty tulips that will cheer up any room. Quilt shop owner and longarmer Christie Hughes of Norwalk, Connecticut, combined echo quilting with some stitch-in-the-ditch work to enhance the top\u2019s well-sewn patchwork and appliqu\u00e9. To update the traditional top for today\u2019s style, we chose a yarn-dyed woven that we think adds a dash of chic. <\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
