She has been a quilt instructor for more than 40 years, and her current lectures and workshops focus on quilt history and the preservation of antique textiles. She is the author of many books on quilting, including\u00a0<em>Southern Quilts<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Donna Marcinkowski DeSoto<\/strong>\u00a0is a fiber artist, art quilt curator, and the author of several quilt books, including\u00a0<em>Inspired by the Nation's Capital<\/em>. She has resided in Virginia for more than 40 years, quilting all the while.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Virginia Quilt Museum<\/strong> cultivates and preserves the quilting arts in Virginia.
